If you have a strong work ethic, great customer service skills, and a desire to positively impact animal welfare, the Baltimore Humane Society encourages you to apply. Experience may be required in some instances, however nothing beats initiative and a willingness to apply your talents!

In addition, we are always looking for interns who would like to get some hands-on experience in areas such as Marketing, Public Relations, Outreach, Development/Fundraising, and animal care.

Veterinarian (Part Time)
Needed to perform surgeries in a high quality, high volume Spay/Neuter Center.

The job requires a current Maryland Veterinary License, proficiency in spay/neuter surgical procedures, a cheerful and positive attitude, and a commitment to preventing pet over population.

The current surgical team is a fun group of talented staff (including RVT’s) that are eager to make your day in surgery a seamless one.

The job is a consistent 1-3 day per week position from 9am-2pm. There are no night and no weekend responsibilities!

Our facility uses Miltex surgical instruments, Ethicon brand suture, the latest anesthetic and pain protocols recommended within the HQHVSN industry, and continuous patient monitoring by both manual TPR’s and pulse oximetry.
